Remote
Sensing for Geographic Information Systems
Remote Sensing is the collection of data from a distance.
This technology includes satellite imagery, aerial photography,
and the global positioning system (GPS), all of which
are prominent sources of data for Geographic Information
Systems. In this course students learn about the principles
of Remote Sensing, the systems and types of data collected,
and how they are integrated and used in a GIS environment.
